McGriff has promoted Patrick Dessauer to regional insurance president for McGriff’s West Region. He will be based in McGriff’s Houston office.
Dessauer replaces Doug Hodo who has announced his retirement.
Dessauer, a 30-plus year veteran of the insurance brokerage industry, has been with McGriff since 1998. Most recently he served as executive vice president, chief operations officer for McGriff’s West Region. In his new role, Dessauer will provide leadership, vision and direction for the West Region, as well as support sales to drive growth.

McGriff is a full-service insurance broker providing risk management and insurance solutions to clients across the United States. The firm’s coverages include commercial property and casualty, corporate bonding and surety services, cyber, management liability, captives and alternative risk transfer programs, small business, employee benefits, title insurance, personal lines, and life and health.
