The trials and tribulations encountered after Hurricane Katrina will be discussed by Mississippi Commissioner of Insurance George Dale, the featured speaker during the Thursday, March 16 monthly meeting of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers, Insurors of Memphis meeting at the Colonial Country Club.
Dale will discuss the many challenges he has faced due to Hurricane Katrina. As claims paid in Mississippi approached the $3 billion mark in early November 2005, Dale traveled to Washington to seek further assistance for the victims. By November 21, the claims paid increased to more than $5 billion and by mid-December, the claims paid were $7 billion.
Dale will describe the problems he has faced and continuing plans for handling this disaster. Reservations are required for this luncheon and seating is very limited.
