Farmers Insurance reported more than 1,300 claims filed, and an anticipated 1,800 total, with an estimated overall loss of roughly $225 million from two California wildfires that burned nearly 150,000 acres this month in Napa, Sonoma, Amador and Calaveras counties.
Farmers Insurance catastrophe claims representatives, agents and other personnel have been onsite since the day after the fire to help customers affected. Farmers dispatched a mobile claims center and two catastrophe claims vehicles along with more than 80 claims handlers.
Catastrophe claims teams will remain in the area to assist customers with their claims so they may move forward, following the devastating damage brought to the area.
