PADIC Elects Basi President

The Pacific Association of Domestic Insurance Companies, headquartered in California, elected Anisha Basi, general counsel for Pacific Specialty Insurance Co., to serve as PADIC president.
Basi’s role at Pacific Specialty has been primarily focused on regulation and compliance. She is also an adjunct professor at the Lincoln Law School of Sacramento. Previous roles include assistant general counsel at California Northstate University and associate attorney at Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi LLP.
PADIC is comprised of small- to mid-sized California domestic property/casualty insurers.
ICW Appoints Moitoso President

ICW Group Insurance Companies, headquartered in San Diego, appointed Mark Moitoso as president. He will take over the role of president from Kevin Prior, who will remain the company’s CEO.
Moitoso will oversee the company’s underwriting and shared services operations, with a focus on driving growth, product line expansion and improving organizational efficiencies.
Moitoso has more than 35 years of experience. Before joining ICW Group, he was executive vice president, risk practices at Lockton Companies. Prior to his tenure at Lockton, he spent 25 years with Liberty Mutual serving in various leadership roles.
Moitoso is based out of ICW Group’s headquarters in San Diego.
CAC Specialty Appoints Leadership for New Private Equity Practice
CAC Specialty, headquartered in Denver, integrated and relaunched its private equity practice under the leadership of David Barnes. The firm promoted Rachel Beck to executive vice president, private equity.
Barnes will maintain his role as the leader of CAC Specialty’s representations and warranties insurance practice. Beck focuses on CAC Specialty’s private equity book, including GPL and portfolio strategies for financial sponsor clients, and will continue to lead the firm’s sponsors insurance practice.
