USRisk Brokers, a subsidiary of U.S. Risk Insurance Group, announced that Chris Pope and Mike Ravelo have joined the company. Both are located at the USRisk Brokers office in Irvine, Calif.
Pope joins USRisk Brokers as a broker. She will specialize in construction-related accounts, both residential and commercial. She also writes products liability, owners, landlords and tenants liability, and excess and umbrella liability.
She has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years, both in retail and wholesale agencies. Most recently, she worked for a regional wholesale firm.
Ravelo joins as a senior underwriter and broker, and will be responsible for underwriting and growing various books of business, while also managing brokerage clients. He is a 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, specializing in wholesale distribution, both as a broker and underwriter. Prior to joining USRisk Brokers, Ravelo worked as a broker for a California-based specialty broker, and as an underwriter for a California-based wholesaler.
