California Wildfire Almost Fully Contained as Evacuation Orders Lifted

A Southern California wildfire that prompted evacuation orders is now nearly fully contained, according to fire officials.

The Springs Fire in Riverside County grew to roughly 4,176 acres, but is now 95% contained. The fire had been just 25% contained on Friday, when evacuation orders for were issued for large number of neighborhoods Saturday morning.

All evacuation orders and warnings were since lifted.

The fire was fueled by Santa Ana winds with gusts up to 45 mph.

No structures were reported damaged or destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
